Dehra Dun, July 25: Uttaranchal Chief Minister N D Tiwari today asked the army to beef up security in and around its establishments and vital installations in the wake of terrorists attack in army camp in Tanda in Jammu region. "We have many army installations of strategic importance and their security should be strengthened in view of terrorists attacks in Jammu and Kashmir" he said addressing a high-level meeting of civil military liaisoning committee here.

The chief minister also called for setting up of a standing committee of civil military liaisoning committee.

Army officials said all necessary measures, including beefing up of security in and around establishments here were being taken to effectively meet any eventuality. The Chief Minister asked Mussoorie-Dehra Dun Development Authority (MDDA) and Dehra Dun district administration to coordinate with cantonments boards for devising a masterplan so that a separate colony for ex-servicemen could be developed.

The meeting was attended by top army officials including general officer in commanding of Central Command Lt Gen D S Chauhan.
