EC orders removal of ERO in MP Speaker`s constituency
New Delhi, Oct 24: Ahead of assembly polls in Madhya Pradesh, the Election Commission today ordered immediate removal of Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) of Mangava Assembly constituency being represented by speaker of the assembly in the state on charges of large scale irregularities in the voters list.

The commission's action comes in the wake of findings by a team of EC officials who visited the state recently.
The commission also ordered special door-to-door verification of electoral rolls in the constituency from October 27. EC sources said that the exercise would be completed within a week. Mangava Assembly seat is represented by speaker Sriniwas Tiwari.
The Commission also ordered removal of collector of Harda district and Deputy Superintendent of Police in Rewa following allegations of violation of model code of conduct, the sources added.
