Bhopal, Oct 28: The BSP in poll-bound Madhya Pradesh today appeared headed for a split as wrangling in the party deepened today with the expulsion of another supporter of leading rebel leader Phool Singh Baraiyya and mass resignation by about a dozen of his followers believed to be opposing any tie-up with Congress for the December one assembly polls. A day after terminating the primary membership of five functionaries, including state BSP General Secretary Sunil Borse, the party today announced expulsion of its former Bhopal unit chief Anil Pandey with immediate effect. BSP's new State President P P Chaudhary said in a statement that Pandey was "removed from the primary membership of the party for indiscipline". About a dozen supporters of Baraiyya, including state unit secretary Keshizaghel, Gwalior city president Chokhelal Puriyya and gird incharge Santosh Gaur resigned, apparently in protest against the action against Borse and four other functionaries yesterday. They had come out openly in support of Baraiyya who was expelled as BSP chief of MP unit a month ago for opposing electoral alliance with Congress.
