New Delhi, Nov 12: To ensure that Congress Chief Ministers of Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh are tied down to their constituencies, BJP is deputing top leaders to campaign for its candidates in their constituencies. Former Deputy Chief Minister of Maharasthra, Gopinath Munde and leader of the opposition in Bihar Assembly, Sushil Kumar Modi would be campaigning in Raghogarh constituency where BJP has fielded its General Secretary Shivraj Singh Chauhan against Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh, BJP President M Venkaiah Naidu told reporters here today. He said another top leader from Maharashtra Nitin Gadkari will be party's special observer in Marwahi Assembly seat in Chattisgarh where its nominee Nand Kumar Sai, leader of the opposition, will be battling it out against Chief Minister Ajit Jogi. Besides, a senior leader will be in charge of every village in these two constituencies to ensure that there is no "rigging" and also to see that there is no manipulation of votes by the ruling Congress in these states.

Naidu said from November 18 onwards the party would kick of its election campaign with its top leaders spearheaded by Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

He said a replacement for Nand Kumar Sai in the Tapkara constituency is expected to be decided soon since Sai will be facing Chattisgarh Chief Minister in Marwahi.
Naidu said the party has also decided to leave three seats to its ally Janata Dal (United) in Rajasthan having left four in Delhi for Akali Dal (Badal).
