New Delhi, Aug 23: At least two people were killed and 15 injured after a passenger train collided head-on with a stationary engine in a West Delhi area this evening, police sources said. The two engines caught fire after the collision at Shakur Basti in Rani Bagh area at around 7.35 pm, they said. The train was going from Tilak Bridge station in Delhi to Rohtak in Haryana when the mishap occurred at the Shakur Basti station, they said.

While northern railway spokesman Devender Singh Sandhu said five persons had received minor injuries, police sources confirmed one death.

The injured have been admitted to hospitals in the area, Sandhu said.
