Srinagar, July 28: A BSF jawan allegedly shot himself while on duty at Ranbir Bhawan here today, official sources said. Dawa Sherpa, of the 127 battalion, fired two shots from his service rifle in his neck around 1040 hours this morning. He was rushed to the nearby hospital where he was declared dead, the sources said.

It was not immediately known what prompted the jawan to take such an extreme step, they said. Bureau Report
