New Delhi, Nov 24: Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee today said that sufficient companies of security forces would be sent to strife-torn Assam where violence against people from Bihar was going on. Vajpayee gave this assurance to RJD president Laloo Prasad Yadav during a 15-minute meeting between them at the former's residence here.

Yadav told the Prime Minister that Biharis were being attacked in the North-Eastern state and demanded adequate central forces to restore peace. During his goodwill mission to Assam, Yadav will visit the affected areas, meet Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and also the Bihari community there.

Other members of the delegation are Swaraj Kaushal (Haryana Vikas Party, Rajiv Shukla (Congress) and RJD MPs, Ramendra Kumar Ravi, Ramdeo Bhandary, Saroj Dubey, Prem Gupta and Kum Kum Rai.
