Mumbai, Feb 27: On April 14 this year, the lovers of music in the country will wake up to see a dream come true when the pillars of the rock and roll history, 'The Rolling Stones' will treat them to 'Forty Great Licks', for the Mumbaikar it will also end a nine-year long drought of international music concert. The last western artist to perform here was Canadian rock singer Bryan Adams in 1994. 'Everybody needs somebody to love', 'Time is on my side' and 'Honky Tonk women', the classics which have breached the generation by the way of their common liking by people of all ages will enthrawl music lovers as part of the legendry group's eastern-leg of world tour.

The stones -- Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood, will be accompanied by a deserevingly large entorage of almost 140 technicians, who will be fly in with all the needed equipment to rock fans of India with a truly international quality concert.
The two-hour performances by the longest surviving rock band of the history will cover songs from their album 'Forty Licks', comprising the band's greatest hits, including, four unrecorded songs.

DNA networks, who had been instrumental in bringing well-known international artistes like Sir Elton John, Deep Purple, Roger Waters, Vengaboys, Bryan Adams and others, in the country are the team behind the Mega-event. Speaking about the event, Mr Vardhan of DNA networks said, ''Rolling stones is a legend in their own and the concert 'Rolling stones licks tour of India' is going to rewrite international events in a big way.''

''The Stones are all very keen and looking forward to tour India and win hearts of their fans,'' he added.


Vijay Mallaya of UB group, of which DNA is a subsidiary, told the media that the entertainment tax problem will be sorted out with the state government and promised that Mumbai would soon become the entertainment capital of the city, apart from being the financial capital.
