Wagah (Amritsar), June 17: A six-member delegation of parliamentarians led by renowned journalist and MP Kuldip Nayyar today crossed over to Pakistan to hold parleys with Prime Minister Mir Zafarrullah Khan Jamali as part of peace overtures between the two nations. Cross-border terrorism will form centrestage of the dialogue and Jamali will be urged to use all possible means to put an immediate halt to "export of terrorism", Nayyar told reporters at the Radcliff Line at the joint check post.

Asserting that India never hesitated to talk on Kashmir issue, he said every issue, including Kashmir, will be discussed at the meeting with Jamali.

Nayyar said Pakistan would be urged to speed up the pace of bilateral peace process initiated by heads of both nations.

Easing of visa process would also be stressed upon so that people of both countries could easily exchange visits.

Frequent exchange of visits by artistes, academicians, politicians, religious leaders, intellectuals, scientists, experts and others would certainly be conducive for building sound relationship, he said.

Endorsing the view, editor-in-chief of 'Nai Dunia' and MP Shahid Siddiqui said when people of both sides are wanting to mix with each other why not shun hostility to survive as borderless and friendly nations and help in economic uplift.

Kartar Singh Duggar, Lakhan Seth, Pawan Kumar Bansal and Abdul Rasheed Shahi are the other members of the delegation. They are to be joined by MPs M H Khan and Rajiv Shakula. The visit is to reciprocate a similar visit by a 12-member Pakistani parliamentary team recently.
