Ceasefire not a retreat on Pak stance on Kashmir: Musharraf
Islamabad, Dec 06: Dismissing the charge that Pakistan has retreated from its stance on Kashmir by declaring ceasefire with India, President Pervez Musharraf today said that on the contrary the Kashmir issue and other matters would be resolved through a dialogue in the light of a series of recent confidence building measures taken by the two sides.

"Dialogue between Pakistan and India is to commence soon
to discuss all outstanding issues between two countries,"
he said at the convocation of Forman Christian College at
Lahore.
He said Pakistan had in no way retracted from its stance on Kashmir by agreeing for a ceasefire with India, a charge made by Pakistan-based militant outfits.
About construction of fence by India along the Line of Control, the President in a significant observation said India is building fence deep inside its own territory about five km from the LoC and is not even visible from Pakistani side. Bureau Report
