Kathmandu, Oct 15: Government troops killed at least 25 rebels in Nepal's remote mountainous west today in a continuing operation to flush out the insurgents, police said.
It was not clear if any government troops were killed in the clash near Chatasen village, about 600 kilometres northwest of the capital, Kathmandu. Details were sketchy and the area is in a mountainous remote region with no roads or communication.
A police official reached over the telephone near the area said it was part of a regular operation against the rebels.
