Maruti denies being EPF defaulter
New Delhi, Aug 23: The country`s largest car maker Maruti Udyog on Saturday denied being in arrears in remitting the provident fund dues of its employees with the Employees Provident Fund Organization.

Maruti Udyog clarified that it is not an EPF defaulter and is diligently complying with the provisions of EPF and MP Act in respect of all its employees.

This comes close on the heels of the Labour Ministry naming Maruti and a host of other firms like ONGC, IOC, Bhel as being provident fund defaulters.
Labour minister Sahib Singh Verma had on Thursday warned the big organisations figuring in the Employees Provident Fund Organisation’s list of defaulters.
