Mugello, Oct 31: Ducati prepare for the final MotoGP race of the season at Valencia. The MotoGP World Championship season ends this weekend (November 1 and 2) at the final race of 2003 in Valencia.
The race is the third held in Spain this season and will be marked with impromptu firework displays by the fans. Organisers at the Ricardo Tormo circuit expect a race day crowd of about 120,000 people. The Italian Ducati team look forward to the race at the end of their debut season in MotoGP.
Ducati riders Loris Capirossi and Troy Bayliss currently lie fourth and seventh respectively in the championship. Capirossi won one race in the Catalunya Grand Prix.
Bayliss has been recovering from being knocked unconscious during the last race at the Australian Grand Prix at Philip Island two weeks ago. Doctors in Australia gave him a brain scan after he recovered consciousness and pronounced him fit and well.

Claudio Domenicali, Ducati Corse managing director, explained how important it was for his team to devise a good set-up for Valencia. He said the combination of a fast straight and tight corners demanded a fast bike with fine rear grip for success.
