CEO inquiry into complaint of Laloo violating model code
Patna, Nov 19: Bihar Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) N S Madhavan has ordered an inquiry into the complaint of violation of model code of conduct by RJD supremo Laloo Prasad Yadav by moving in a large cavalcade during campaign in three assembly constituencies going to by-polls tomorrow, election office sources said today.

Yadav by moving in a large cavalcade during campaign in three
assembly constituencies going to by-polls tomorrow, election
office sources said today.
Madhavan has written letters to district magistrates of
Patna, Sitamarhi and Gaya asking them to probe the complaint
lodged against Laloo Yadav and file reports to the commission,
they said.
The CEO orders followed a complaint lodged by former state BJP president and the convenor of NDA in Bihar, Nand Kishore Yadav on Saturday last alleging that the RJD chief, in violation of model code of conduct, moved in large cavalcade in the three assembly constituencies of Fatuha in Patna district, Sitamarhi and Barachhati in Gaya district to campaign for his party nominees. The campaign for the by-polls in Bihar came to end yesterday and the stage was set for polling in the three assembly constituencies tomorrow.
The ruling RJD was pitted in intense fight with the NDA candidates in all the three seats.
