Tour programme and Fixture Committee to meet on June 7
Mumbai, Jun 02: The Cricket Board`s tour programme and fixture committee would meet at the Wankhede Stadium here on June 7 to discuss the date and venues for the two-test home series against New Zealand in october.
The BCCI Executive Secretary Sharad Diwadkar said
today that according to a circular issued by the Board
Secretary S K Nair, the committee would also discuss the dates
and venues for the subsequent triangular one-day series with
world champions Australia as the third team.
"The committee would discuss the domestic calender
for the coming season and the board president is also
expected to attend the meeting", Diwadkar said.
"The domestic tournament's captains and coaches' meeting to discuss various national tournaments would also be held here on june 6", Diwadkar said.
Though the venues for the home series are allotted on rotation, the final decision would be taken during the working committee meeting in New Delhi in the last week of june. Accordingly, Mohali and Bangalore are the two likely centres to get the test matches while the ten centres for the triangular series would be discussed during the meeting.
