Mumbai, June 11: Informatica Corporation and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) have extended their existing partnership, under which TCS will resell Informatica products globally, apart from doubling the number of consultants trained on the former's software.
TCS has also licensed Informatica software for its human resources, billing and realisation, quality and delivery operations for its worlwide offices, Informatica president and chief executive officer Gaurav Dhillion informed in a release here on Wednesday.
Under the extended pact, TCS would be able to resell Informatica software throughout Europe and India, compared with the existing contract of selling it in North America only, Dhillion said.
TCS, in order to support a global presence, would double the number of consultants trained on Informatica software to 600 from the existing 300 individuals, he added.
Both the companies are also identifying opportunities for offshore product engineering and plan to develop an industry specific `go-to-market' strategy, it added.
