Paris, July 09: Manchester United has raised its offer to Paris Saint-Germain to some 25 million (US$28.5 million) for Brazilian star Ronaldino, a published report said.

United manager Alex Ferguson was in Paris Monday to reinforce the club's interest as United officials met with PSG president Francis Graille, sports daily L'Equipe reported yesterday.
The report said United raised its offer from 21 million ($24 million), but that PSG was waiting to see the new bid on paper before deciding.
Also Monday, an official from premiership rival Chelsea reportedly met with Graille about the midfielder. But a British news report quoted the PSG chief as saying he wasn't expecting a deal with Chelsea, which was effectively bought last week by billionaire Russian businessman Roman Abramovich.
"Chelsea have plenty of money, but I don't see the sporting interest in Ronaldinho going to them," Graille was reported as saying.

Ronaldinho is believed to favour a move to Real Madrid or United, which is hoping to replace David Beckham following his transfer to the Spanish club.
