Ranchi, June 18: Nine persons were killed and 30 others injured, 11 of them seriously in a head-on-collision between a bus and a truck near Angara in Ranchi district today. Senior superintendent of police, M V Rao said that the accident occurred two km away from Angara and the injured have been admitted to hospital.

Rescue operations have already begun, he said, adding the bus was coming from Purulia.
