New Delhi, May 18: NCP, a pre-poll ally of Congress, today said the leadership of the Congress Parliamentary Party (CPP) was an internal matter of the party and hinted that it was not opposed to accepting Manmohan Singh for the top job if proposed by the party.
"There was unanimity in favour of Sonia Gandhi (as the prime minister). But we will have to accept whoever the party decides. It is an internal matter of the congress and it has to decide,” NCP leader Tariq Anwar said.

He replied in the negative if he had any information about Manmohan Singh being considered for the top post.
Specifically asked about Singh's candidature, he said, "May be the Congress gives his name. He has a clean image and a good name."
