New Delhi, Dec 19: Turning the table on journos, President A P J Abdul Kalam today floored the country's leading editors with four questions which were not responded by anyone.
Addressing editors of newspapers and news agencies here, Kalam, in his characteristic instructor's style, said, "you will be asking me questions, but let me ask you some."
"Can media contribute to 'developed India mission'?, is there enough freedom for media?, what has to be done to remove sectarian strife? and what are your major worries and what are the solutions,?" an inquisitive Kalam asked at the interaction organised by Editors' Guild of India.
However, none of the participants responded, perhaps as the President had a tight schedule.
Kalam also released a code of conduct for journalists prepared by the Guild.
The President recalled that his association with media began at the age of ten, when he used to distribute newspapers in 120 houses in his native Rameshwaram in Tamil Nadu.
Kalam said he used to read the papers before distributing them. Bureau Report
