Haritha wins 2 silver, 1 bronze in Asian Weightlifting Championship
New Delhi, Aug 11: Continuing India`s good show, national weightlifting champion P Haritha won two silver and a bronze in the Asian Junior Weightlifting Championship being held in Bali, Indonesia.

Haritha of Andhra Pradesh bagged the two silver medals in snatch and overall category while her bronze came in the clean and jerk in girls 63 kg section.
India's medal tally on the penultimate day of the competition that began on Staurday read three gold, two silver and a bronze.
Indian Weightlifting Federation secretary Balbir Singh Bhatia said it was a creditable performance from the player as this event was only her second international assignment. Bhatia said Haritha would be groomed for the 2008 Olympics by the federation.
Haritha had also clinched three gold medals in the Asian Youth Championships In reply to: Korea in 2001. She also has to her credit a gold from the national games 2002 and a silver from National Championships in Lucknow.
