High-level team tours flood ravaged areas
Itanagar, Oct 21: An inter-ministerial team toured the three flood-ravaged districts of Arunachal Pradesh to assess the damage caused by floods and submit a report to the centre, official sources said today.

the three flood-ravaged districts of Arunachal Pradesh to
assess the damage caused by floods and submit a report to the
centre, official sources said today.
The 11-member team, headed by Joint Secretary in the
Ministry of Rural Development Rakesh Hooja and accompanied by
the state Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Dorjee Khandu,
made a whirlwind tour of the affected areas in East Siang,
Lower Dibang Valley and Lohit districts yesterday.
The team would submit a report to the centre after assessing the damages for grant of relief from the central calamity relief fund, Hooja told newspersons.
The team also met the district officials at Pasighat, Teju and Roing, headquarters of East Siang, Lohit and Lower Dibang Valley districts.
The team, which arrived here on October 17 on a five-day visit to the state, is scheduled to visit the headquarter town of Yinkiong in Upper Siang district today.
The team has already surveyed the situation at Tawang, Dirang, Bomdila, Bhalukpong, Seijusa, Kimin, Balija and Dollongmukh and had discussions with Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Dorjee Khandu here yesterday, official sources said.
