New Delhi, Aug 17: The CBI would soon be questioning sacked Uttar Pradesh BSP minister Amarmani Tripathi's wife, Madhumina, in connection with the murder of poetess Madhumita Shukla even as the blood sample of the former minister was taken for DNA test. Highly-placed CBI sources said that the agency was now probing the jealousy aspect of the case and would question Madhumina, who is believed to have been opposed to the relationship between the poetess and her husband.

The sources said calls made from and to Madhumina's phone were also being scrutinised by the CBI after obtaining the records from the BSNL office.

The CBI officials said the questioning of Madhumina was a routine matter as the probe agency had to investigate all aspects of the case.
The CBI was also conducting raids at various places to nab the killer of 24-year-old Madhumita at her paper colony residence on May 9, the sources said.

Some rough sketches about the killer were provided by the servant of Madhumita, who had opened the door on the ill-fated day.
Meanwhile, the blood sample of Tripathi had been taken by the CBI for conducting the DNA test. This test would be compared with the foetus of Madhumita.

Tripathi initially showed reluctance to give blood sample for DNA testing but finally agreed for the test which would be conducted at Hyderabad, the sources added.
