Srinagar, June 16: Jammu and Kashmir assembly today witnessed unruly scenes as opposition National Conference stalled the proceedings of the house on the issue leaking the vital information about the killing of a former minister Mushtaq Ahmad lone to the media while the assembly was in session, forcing Speaker to adjourn the house for the day.

Mushtaq Ahmad lone to the media while the assembly was in
session, forcing Speaker to adjourn the house for the day.
As the house assembled for the day, NC members rose on
their seats demanding adjournment of the house as the
government's action allegedly tantamounted to the contempt of
the constitution as well as the assembly.
Speaker Tara Chand advised the opposition members to take their seats and that he would allow half an hour discussion on the issue after the question hour.
But the NC members did not pay any heed and came to the well of the house, raising slogans against the government prompting the treasury benches to raise counter slogans.
Former minister A M Sagar moved the adjournment motion and demanded the government should make a statement in the house on the issue. He was joined by party colleagues including Sharifuddin Shariq. Bureau Report
