Seven militants killed in Kashmir
Srinagar, Sept 25: Seven militants, including a top Lashker-e-Toiba functionary and two from the Hizbul Mujahideen, were killed in separate incidents, while ultras abducted a civilian in Jammu and Kashmir since last night, official sources said today.

Pakistan-based self-styled battalion commander of LeT, Abu Azhar was killed in an encounter after the army raided a militant hideout in village Kharva-Bala in Bhalla area of the Doda Distrist today, the spokesman said. The encounter was still on when reports last came in, he said.
An AK assault rifle, four magazines, 192 rounds, 12 grenades, five UBGL grenades, a pistol, two IEDs and a wireless set were recovered from the deceased militant.
In another encounter in the district, he said security forces shot dead an unidentified militant at village Korua in Baderwah area early today.
Two Hizbul Mujahideen militants were killed in a group clash with LeT militants at Jabbi Toti in Poonch District, the spokesman said, and identified the deceased as Niaz Ahmad and Mohammad Farooq of the Marhote area of Surankote.
Three Pakistani militants were killed this afternoon when troops of the elite Rashtriya Rifle zeroed in on the Swian high altitude forest in the Mendhar belt of the Poonch District after getting intelligence inputs about their presence in the area, he said.
Two to three militants were still in the cordon as militants and troops continued exchange of fire when reports last came in, he added.
