To be inaugurated by senior leader and former Finance Minister Manmohan Singh, the two-day meet would be attended by senior central leaders.
Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee president S C Marak told reporters the meeting would be attended by CLP leaders and PCC chiefs of all the NE states.
The NECCC would also elect its new chairman - the post now held by former Nagaland Chief Minister S C Jamir, he said.

The chairmanship of NECCC is generally held by a Congress Chief Minister of the region, he said, adding the contenders would be from Assam, Meghalaya and Manipur.
