8 BSP MLAs extend support to Mulayam
Lucknow, Aug 27: Eight BSP legislators in Uttar Pradesh, including two former ministers Jaiveer Singh and Yogesh Pratap Singh, gave a letter of support to Governor Vishnu Kant Shastri pledging their support to Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav in forming an alternative government.
Lucknow, Aug 27: Eight BSP legislators in Uttar Pradesh, including two former ministers Jaiveer Singh and Yogesh Pratap Singh, gave a letter of support to Governor Vishnu Kant Shastri pledging their support to Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav in forming an alternative government.
The BSP legislators went to Raj Bhawan alongwith state SP general secretary Shiv Pal Singh Yadav and submitted their letter of support to the Governor.
The BSP legislators who offered support to Yadav are: Rajendra Singh Rana, Surendra Vikram Singh, Jaiveer Singh, Rajendra Singh Chauhan, Shailendra Yadav, Jai Prakash Yadav, Brjendra Pratap Singh and Yogesh Pratap Singh.
In the jointly signed support letter, the BSP MLAs said that the Governor should invite Yadav to form government as people do not want President's rule in the state.
