Islamabad, Aug 29: Pakistan today said restoring normalcy in Jammu and Kashmir was India's responsibility and suggested that it could be achieved by ending alleged repression and human rights violations. "The onus of restoring normalcy is on India, it can do so by ending repression and human rights violations in Kashmir," Pakistan's foreign ministry spokesman Masood Khan said while reacting to Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee's earlier statement. Vajpayee told reporters today in Jammu that there could be no chance of "meaningful" talks with Pakistan until normalcy is restored in Jammu and Kashmir. "Whatever happened yesterday shows that there is no normalcy," Vajpayee said, referring to an attack on a hotel in Srinagar by at least one Islamic militant that left four people dead. Bureau Report
