Mumbai, July 11: Air-India cabin crew expressed
unhappiness over today's Supreme Court decision that set aside
a Bombay High Court order raising flying age of air-hostesses
from 50 years to 58 years and the direction to merge the
service cadres of male and female cabin crew.
"We are unhappy and we'll evaluate the various options,"
said Air India Cabin Crew Association General Secretary Sanjay
Lazar said while responding to the issue.
When told that most of the international airlines
followed a policy of employing young air-hostesses to promote
their image, Lazar disagreed.
"I don't agree with you. Just to promote an airline's
image, you cannot ground those who are old," he said.
