Kolkata, Feb 14: The Indian cricket team's tour of Pakistan is "definitely" on and it will go on as per schedule from the first week of March, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) chief Jagmohan Dalmiya said today. There will be no curtailment and it will be a full fledged tour with three Tests and five one-dayers.
Dalmiya said the itinerary and other details of the tour will be finalised within a week after the return of the three-member delegation from Pakistan.
The Board President described the government's decision as "cricket friendly" and said "India would be touring Pakistan after 14 years and not only do I envisage an excellent tour from the cricketing stand point but it would also help in strengthening the bond of friendship between the people of the two nations."
Asked about the security of the tourists, Dalmiya said: "One of the primary concerns was the safety and security of the players and team officials and since the BCCI had no expertise to deal with the subject it had requested the government for assistance.
"And the government responded by appointing IGP of VIP security division in the Ministry of Home Affairs in the three-member delegation to review the security arrangements in Pakistan."
"Since the government has cleared the tour, the major concern of safety and security is now put to rest and the tour is definitely on," he said.

Dalmiya said "the points that are now required to be sorted out are mainly related to the games, tour itinerary and logistics so that the players are physically and psychologically comfortable specially after the long tour of Australia."
He said these as well as media arrangements will be worked out after the BCCI delegation returns to India.
