Chennai, July 28: The dismissed Tamil Nadu government employees and teachers had to endure another two weeks of anxious wait as the process of personal inquiry would be conducted only from today 28 after completing issuance of notices to them by July 23.
Reinstatement of the about two lakh sacked staff appear to be a long drawn process as they have been asked to appear for personal inquiry only seven days after they received the notice.
As Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa directed the officials to consider the appeals of those dismissed from service for taking part in the strike, the appointing authorities began issuing notice to them.

Notices were issued at the Secretariat and Ezhilagam office complexes and the process continued till July 23, official sources here said. The process of personal inquiry would start today and was likely to be completed by July 30, the sources said.
As per rules, the sacked employees have to be given seven days time to appear for personal inquiry. They have been asked to come with necessary documents to explain their absence during the strike period, the sources said.
