Jammu, June 20: Indian and Pakistani troops exchanged heavy shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) in Noushera sector of Jammu division last night, defence sources said here today.

Targetting Jhanghar and Bhawani areas with mortar nine shells, Pakistani troops fired more than 125 rounds of 80-mm shells from 22.30 hours yesterday to 01.30 hours today, they said, adding Indian troops also retaliated effectively.
The residential house of one Sansar Chand was damaged in Bhawani area due to Pakistani shelling. However, there was no casualty or injury to anyone from Indian side, the sources said.
Meanwhile, small arms intermittent firing along the International Border between the two sides at some places in RS Pura sector continued since yesterday without any loss or damage on Indian side, the sources said.
