Venice, July 06: Sharon Stone is reported to have split from her husband Phil Bronstein after five years of marriage. A spokesman for the 44 year-old actress has confirmed that the couple are living apart. Rumours have been confirmed, Sharon Stone and her husband of five years are having marriage troubles. The Basic Instinct star had just completed filming a new movie in London, when rumours began circling that the couple were separating. Stone's spokesman said that the couple are living apart. Stone, 44, is reported to be living at the couple's Los Angeles house, while Bronstein is at their San Francisco home. The 44 year old actress married newspaper editor Phil Bronstein in 1998. They adopted a baby son, Roan, three years ago. Their marriage has endured numerous dramatic events. Bronstein, the San Francisco Chronicle editor, suffered a heart attack in their first year. Two years ago Bronstein was bitten on the foot by a poisonous 7ft komodo dragon during a family trip to San Francisco zoo. He recovered after receiving surgery for a tendon injury.


In the same year, Stone's life was threatened when she collapsed after suffering a brain hemorrhage. Stone stars alongside Rupert Everett in her latest film, A Different Loyalty, as the wife of British traitor Kim Philby.
