New Delhi, May 02: The Delhi High Court today issued notice to the CBI on the bail application of former DDA commissioner (land and development) Anand Mohan Sharan, who is currently in judicial custody in connection with DDA scam case. Justice R C Chopra, who issued the notice to the CBI, also asked the investigating officer of the case to be present before the court along with the case diary on may 16, the next date of hearing. In the bail application moved through counsel Siddharth Luthra and Pramod Dubey, Sharan sought his release on bail on the grounds that the investigation was already complete and that he was no longer required for custodial investigation.

Sharan, an IAS officer of the 1990 batch, was arrested on March 28 after the CBI recovered Rs 36 lakh in cash in a raid at his residence a day before.
Besides Sharan, other accused in the case are: DDA vice chairman Subhash Sharma, businessman Dharam Bir Khattar, director land Jagdish Chander, commissioner planning Vijay Risbud, DLF representative Ajay Khanna, Ansal Buildwell's R K Gogia, Ravinder Taneja and Mukesh Saini (private person).

Accused Subhash Sharma is also understood to have moved his bail application which could come up for hearing on Monday.
