Thiruvananthapuram, June 04: The Kerala government and the Adivasi Gothra Maha Sabha (AGMS) today failed to arrive at a consensus on the tribal land issue. The AGMS, represented by C K Janu and M Geethanandan, reiterated their demand that tribal areas be given autonomous status. But the cabinet sub-committee headed by minister for welfare of backward classes M A Kuttappan refused to hold talks on the issue, sources said. The AGMS had earlier threatened to launch another agitation for land rights after the Muthanga stir. Bureau Report
