Sri Lanka for enhancing trade ties with India
Colombo, May 27: Sri Lanka today called for further enhancement of trade ties with India and said a White Paper has already been prepared identifying areas for cooperation.
Colombo, May 27: Sri Lanka today called for further enhancement of trade ties with India and said a White Paper has already been prepared identifying areas for cooperation.
"India and Sri Lanka have to ensure that bilateral
relations which had been initiated more than a decade ago, are
nurtured and allowed to grow further," Sri Lanka's Minister of
Industries Rohita Bogollagama said inaugurating the first
'Made in India' show here, organised by CII.
The minister said a White Paper on areas of joint cooperation has been submitted to the Indian government and the Indian side has assured to work on the proposal very closely.
He asked the business houses to fully utilise the 100 million dollar line of credit extended by the Indian government.
He said the five-day CII event would be marked as a historic event in the relations of both countries. Bureau Report
