Hong Kong, Dec 05: In second place, four shots behind were Scot Steven O'Hara and Indian Amandeep Johl. O'Hara also made it through Qualifying School and, like McEvoy, is appearing in Hong Kong for the first time. "I still have a bit of momentum from the Qualifying School as I played pretty well there. It was good for the confidence and I'm delighted with my start," said O'Hara.
Padraig Harrington of Ireland shot a 67 and was lying in a bunch of eight players, including China's Zhang Lian-Wei, five shots off the pace. Zhang, the Chinese number one, was not overawed by the presence of six-times Major winner Nick Faldo of England as he collected three birdies in a flawless round to boost his hopes of winning his first Hong Kong title. "I've played with Nick (Faldo) previously, so I was completely relaxed out there," said Zhang, winner of the Volvo China Open a fortnight ago. "I'm hoping to keep my form going over the next three rounds."
