Kokrajhar, Sept 01: The All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) and the Bodo Peoples' Action Committee (BPAC) today made a formal announcement for launching a fresh movement demanding separate Bodoland state. The groups also decided to have a special convention on September 26 which would be attended by All Bodo Organisations and MLAs and MPs to review the ongoing situation arising out of the peace negotiation with the Bodoland Liberation Tigers (BLT).
ABSU president Rabiram Narzary alleged that both state and central governments had adopted delaying tactics over the formation of the proposed Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC).
The BPAC said although the organisations were not party to the negotiating process of BTC, they agreed in the greater interest of people.

But since it was delayed there was no other way than to launch a movement demanding separate state of Bodoland.
Rajya Sabha MP U G Brahma also criticised the Centre and state government for delaying formation of BTC. Bureau Report
