Dhar, Feb 27: An all-party meeting was held here today to discuss Centre's response to Dhar district administration's recommendations on the opening of the Bhojshala. Officials said Muslim representatives were absent from the meeting but they have assured that they will submit their views tomorrow in writing to Centre's response to the recommendations. The district administration had recommended that the Bhojshala be kept open for Hindus on all Tuesdays between 9 am to 11 pm during which they would not be allowed to carry materials for offering prayers.
In its response, the Centre said while the Hindus would have free access to from sunrise to sunset on Tuesdays and could also carry some flowers and rice as prayer offerings to the presiding deity, Muslims would be provided access between 1300 and 1500 hrs on Fridays for offering prayers. The BJP has welcomed Centre's recommendations.
Sources said the district administration would send its report on Centre's response to the recommendations in a day or two. Meanwhile, senior Congress leader, Mohan Singh Bundela has suggested that senior representatives of all parties must discuss Centre's response and arrive at a final decision on it.
