Patiala, Nov 03: Police today conducted searches at some places in Delhi for Punjabi pop star Daler Mehndi who had failed to appear before the police for questioning since last Wednesday in connection with the alleged illegal human trafficking case. The singer was not traceable at his known addresses, police sources told a news agency adding that search parties had been sent to his two farm houses, his office and residential premises in different parts of the national capital. Daler Mehndi's interim anticipatory bail application has been dismissed by the Delhi High Court today while a bail application filed by the singer is to come up before a local court tomorrow.
Police sources said that a vigil was also being kept at certain places which were frequented by the singer earlier or could be visited by him.

Daler was questioned for seven hours last Monday and for four hours the next day in the illegal human trafficking case registered on the complaint of one Bakshish Singh that he was not taken abroad despite having paid the singer Rs 13 lakh out of the demanded Rs 15 lakh. Bureau Report
