New Delhi, Oct 15: Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee today greeted President A P J Abdul Kalam on his birthday. President is celebrating his birthday in Surat by attending a day-long "Sarvadharma Sammelan" in the presence of Jain Acharya Mahapragna. Vajpayee conveyed his greetings to Kalam on telephone shortly before the President left for Surat for a visit, official sources said.

Nearly 20 front-ranking religious heads are participating in the Sammelan, an official release said.
Kalam will leave for Saputara, the only hill station of Gujarat, today evening where he will attend the "Dang Mahotsav" and thereafter inaugurate a free legal aid centre, before leaving for Nasik.
