Nine killed in landmine blast on Srinagar-Jammu highway
Srinagar, Nov 23: Nine including five army personnel were today killed and several injured when the militants blew up their vehicle by triggering a landmine blast on Sringar-Jammu national highway, police said.

The blast which took place at lower Munda, 90 kms from
here, blew up the bus in which the armymen were travelling
from Srinagar to Jammu into pieces, police said.
Five bodies have been recovered so far, they said adding the toll was likely to go up. Rescue operation was on.
No militant outfit has yet claimed responsibility for the blast.
The blast came a day after a suicide squad of Lashkar-e-Toiba attacked a CRPF camp in the heart of Srinagar killing six jawans. The two militants involved in the attack were also killed.
