Shanghai, Nov 10: Chinese plastic surgeons have chiselled a plain-looking woman into a "stunning beauty" by performing umpteen cosmetic surgeries on her body, the state media reported today.
In the past five months, Hao Lulu, a 24-year-old Beijing-based woman underwent an umpteen number of cosmetic surgeries to remould a dozen parts of her body to make her attractive.
"The surgeries were aimed at creating double eyelids, enhancing the nose bridge, removing wrinkles from the neck, enlarging breasts and uplifting buttocks - all in the hope of turning her into a stunning beauty," the people's daily said.
Face-lift operations are not unusual in china, but Hao has gained media attention not only due to the scale and complication of the operations, but also because of the high cost involved - 300,000 Yuan (USD 36,000) - an amount unheard of among those in pursuit of a more pleasant appearance.
"The most important is that I have become more confident in myself with a prettier appearance," Hao, a self-employed jewellery appraiser and dealer, was quoted as saying.
