New Delhi, Apr 08: State-owned Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (Hal) today said it has achieved an all-time high turnover of Rs 3,005 crore and a profit of Rs 451 crore during the year ended March 31, 2003. Its exports also rose to an all-time high of Rs 103 crore, according to the company's provisional financial figures.

Hal said 2002-03 was an eventful year with the successful inaugural flight of intermediate jet trainer, HJT-36, on March 21, 2003.
The aircraft was manufactured within a record time of 20 months, it said in a statement.
The HJT-36 was indigenously designed and developed by Hal as a replacement for the aging Kiran trainer aircraft used for the Indian Air Force for Stage II training of pilots.
It plans to produce over 200 units of the new HJT-36 aircraft. Bureau Report
