Jaipur, June 24: Disenchated with the performance of the Babulal Marandi-led government in Jharkhand, the Jharkhand People's Party (JPP) today said that it might withdraw support to the coalition for "neglecting development of the state."
"We may withdraw support to the government to force dissolution of the assembly and fresh election in the state,” JPP president Mukesh Baba told reporters here today. Baba, who was on his way to Ajmer to visit the Dargah of Sufi Saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti, said that his party would decide withdrawing support to the Marandi government at a meeting with like-minded parties scheduled to be held in Ranchi on June 27. Claiming that "an independent member is also with us," he said, "We are also in touch with the Samata Party members who were too dissatisfied with the state government's performance. Baba alleged that the Marandi government had failed to fulfil people's aspirations and the people were disenchanted with it. The BJP and its allies has 42 members in the Jharkhand Assembly against 39 opposition members and if two members of the JPP and an independent comes out anything could happen, Baba said.
