Kathmandu, July 12: India has assured Nepal of its cooperation in fight against Maoist rebels, but said Kathmandu should inform New Delhi about its anti-terrorist strategy. India is ready to extend help to combat terrorists in Nepal but the kingdom should inform New Delhi about its anti-Maoist strategy, Ashok Kumar, charge de affaires at the Indian embassy here, told reporters in Rupandehi district yesterday.
India is also considering to deploy armed police forces along the indo-nepal border to help control Maoist activities, he said.
Both Nepal and India are suffering from the terrorist problem, he said, emphasising that border security must be tightened by coordination between security forces of the two countries.
