Sitamarhi, Nov 08: A school-going boy was killed and 13 others, mostly children, were injured when a crude bomb went off in a hutment at Khansan village under Riga police station in Bihar's Sitamarhi district today, according to police. DSP A K Beck told reporters here that out of three country-made bombs hidden in a barn, one went off, killing one student identified as Mukesh Paswan on the spot and injuring 13 others, five of them seriously.
Beck said while the five seriously injured students were admitted to a government hospital, the rest were released after administering first-aid at the village hospital.
The SP said an FIR against unknown persons had been lodged and so far no arrests have been made.
