London, May 31: Manchester United forward Ruud Van Nistelrooy has urged the English Premiership champions to sign his fellow Dutch international striker Patrick Kluivert from Barcelona.

Van Nistelrooy, the Premiership's leading scorer last season with 25 goals, said his linking up with Kluivert could help United to the Champions League title the Old Trafford club last won in 1999.
"We could be the best scoring partnership in the world," Van Nistelrooy told today's edition of the Sun.
"We love working together and I would love it even more if we could practise together every day and play together at club level. We will be a fantastic partnership."
"Sometimes when Patrick and I play together it is just there between us and that is the time you feel how special football can be for fans and players.

"I cherish those times when we just click in the middle of a game or a training session with Holland."

Kluivert's future at the NOU camp is uncertain with candidates in the club's presidential election trying to impress voters with the big names they would bring to the club if they won the ballot.
