Rajasthan boils as mercury rises to 47 degree
Jaipur, June 02: A blistering heat wave that has thrown normal life out of gear for two weeks in Rajasthan showed no signs of relenting in the desert state today as the mercury soared to 47 degrees Celsius registering the season`s hottest day so far.
Jaipur, June 02: A blistering heat wave that has thrown normal life out of gear for two weeks in Rajasthan showed no signs of relenting in the desert state today as the mercury soared to 47 degrees Celsius registering the season's hottest day so far.
According to the Met Department, the temperature rose to
47 degrees in Dholpur, Churu and Sriganganagar, while the
overall temperature in the state ranged between 42 and 46
degrees Celsius.
Bikaner recorded a maximum of 46 degree Celsius followed by Jodhpur, Jalore, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Pilani and Jaipur at 45 degrees Celsius.
The weather department said there would be no respite in the current heat wave during the next 48 hours.
