Formerly abused shelter dog saves abandoned 3-year-old girl in US - Know how

New Delhi: An abused dog who was saved by an animal shelter home and now adopted into a loving family has been hailed as a 'hero' for rescuing an abandoned three-year-old girl near Rapid River, US.
The former shelter dog, now named 'Peanut' by her new family, with her 'sixth sense' saved the little girl who was found naked and shivering in the cold weather.
The incredible story of Peanut was shared by the Delta Animal Shelter, based in Escanaba, on Facebook on Monday, with a letter written by the dog's family.
According to the letter written by an unnammed woman, Peanut started going crazy at their house and was running up and down the stairs, barking and yelping. The woman says her husband took the dog outside, where she went barreling into the field behind their house at full speed.
Her husband followed her and to his surprise, he found a naked, shivering, 3 year old girl curled up in a ball.
“He scooped her up, wrapped her in his sweatshirt, and brought her inside. He called 911 and reported the incident. By the time the ambulance and police arrived, the little girl could only say one thing – 'doggie'. Thanks to Peanut, a little girls life was saved today,” she wrote in the letter.
“She has been such a blessing to us, and now to others. Words cannot express how grateful we are that we have Peanut in our lives and how amazing she is. She is a part of our family now and thanks to wonderful people like you at the shelter, she is alive,” she added.
The two-year-old dog, formerly called Petunia, arrived at the shelter last April with two broken legs, a belly full of carpet, broken ribs. Healed and now living with a great wonderful family, Peanut extremely deserves to be praised.
